Description

Cavaca is a sweet of Portuguese origin. This sweet originated in the ancient convents of Portugal. Its recipe contains eggs, sugar, flour, sunflower oil, and vanilla.

The dough is made with homemade eggs, flour, and sugar, with two types of sugar syrup added after cooking and cutting the slices. Essentially, all ingredients are used in equal parts.

Cavacas are round, concave, and have a diameter of about 10 cm and weigh 50 g. They are white in color, due to the sugar syrup and egg whites with which they are coated.
