Description
The poppy (Papaver rhoeas L.) is a medicinal plant native to the Eastern Mediterranean. Poppy seeds come from the species Papaver somniferum. 50% of their weight is composed of oil.
This oil has a high content of polyunsaturated fats, such as linoleic acid, fats that are beneficial for the cardiovascular system.
